The objective of this Talk is to provide you with an understanding of the emergence of Thailand as a lucrative trade and investment destination for Malaysian companies and how to do business with this country.
Dr. Abdul Kabur Ibrahim has more than 30 years working thesis help experience with the Malaysian government and the corporate sector. Whilst working with the government as a PTD officer he has served as the Malaysian Trade Commissioner in Belgium and South Africa under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. He is also the President of the Malaysian Exporters Association and the Malaysian Training Providers Association.
Abdul Kabur Ibrahim has also travelled extensively throughout the world covering more than 100 countries to organize and participate in market promotion programs including trade missions, trade and education fairs, marketing seminars and conferences, direct selling, e-commerce, counter trade, visit programs etc.
Tham Sing Kow has over 35 years’ of experience in international trade, export promotion and marketing, international business development, industrial development, investment promotion, technology transfer and licensing arrangements, public relations & communications, branding, public affairs, overseas customer relationship management, alliance building and sustainability, and environmental issues. He also has a proven track record in setting up overseas trade representative offices and development of trade and industrial relations with overseas market, including emerging markets.
Tham served in various capacities in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), including 10 years abroad as Malaysian Trade Commissioner to Moscow (USSR), Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Caracas (Venezuela). He has also served as the European Director of the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) in London, UK for 12 years covering the promotion and marketing of Malaysian timber and timber products to the European market, including public relations and communications, and related environmental/sustainability issues. He is also a lead Export Trainer and Coach for Malaysian Export Academy and has been a Coach a number of Malaysian SMEs.
