INTRODUCTION
The term Logistics is associated with the management flow of resources from the point of origin to the point of consumption. This is done so on the common basis of the customer’s requirement being fulfilled by the supplier. The resources managed in logistics can include various items ranging from food to equipment, small to large items, safe to hazardous goods etc. Logistics Management involves the integration of information flow namely, material handling, production, packaging, inventory, transportation, warehousing, and security. The complexity of logistics can be modeled, analyzed, visualized, and optimized by creating systems, work processes and procedures in order to attain effective logistics management in an organization. This program is designed to specifically enhance the knowledge on how to manage logistics in an effective manner.
