The Malaysian Export Academy, as a CMI recognized Centre, wishes to offer you our Signature “Certified Export Manager” program which is awarded by the Chartered Management Institute of UK. This program will also include a one-year Affiliate membership to the Institute, which will allow access to all CMI Resources, which are only available to their members.

 

TARGET PATICIPANTS

This program is targeted at Managers, Executives and Fresh Business Graduates who wish to acquire practical and additional knowledge on Export Management or are interested in pursuing a career in this field. The minimum requirement is a diploma or degree in management. Those with an SPM with 3 credits with 5 years of Management working experience could also join this program.

 

COURSE CONTENT

The Main modules of this Programme are as follows:

Module 2: Export Requirements, Preparation, and Products & Services Development

Module 3: Export Market Selection and Research

Module 4: Export e-Marketing

Module 5: Export Marketing and Promotion

Module 6: Export Management

Module 7: Global Environment and Opportunities

Module 8: Export Financing, Insurance and Risks

The assessments (assignments or presentations) will be conducted on a group or individual basis and will be done between selected modules.

 

TRAINERS

This program will be conducted by our pool of experienced trainers who have been accredited or certified by HRDC.

Dr. Abdul Kabur Ibrahim: He has more than 45 years of diversified wealth of experience in export and international trade.  He has served as the Malaysian Trade Commissioner in various cities under MITI and MATRADE, consulted for many exporting companies, and has also operated his own export business successfully.

 

Tham Sing Kow: He has over 35 years’ of experience in international trade, export promotion and marketing, international business development, industrial development, investment promotion, technology transfer and licensing arrangements, public relations & communications, branding, public affairs, overseas customer relationship management, alliance building and sustainability, and environmental issues. He also has a proven track record in setting up overseas trade representative offices and development of trade and industrial relations with overseas market, including emerging markets.

Tham served in various capacities in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), including 10 years abroad as Malaysian Trade Commissioner to Moscow (USSR), Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Caracas (Venezuela). He has also served as the European Director of the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) in London, UK for 12 years covering the promotion and marketing of Malaysian timber and timber products to the European market, including public relations and communications, and related environmental/sustainability issues. He is also a lead Export Trainer and Coach for Malaysian Export Academy and has been a Coach a number of Malaysian SMEs.

 

Thambirajah: He has served with the Malaysian Export Promotion Centre and later MATRADE for 24 years before taking up the post as Trade Commissioner in Singapore and Myanmar. After his retirement, he has served as the Director of Tan Chong Trading in Myanmar for 8 years. He has also been an export coach and consultant to a number of trade organizations in Malaysia and also in some ASEAN countries and a number of Malaysian SMEs.

 

Haridass: He has served with MATRADE in various capacities that include Trade Promotion Manager, Trade Commissioner in Paris and Jakarta, and Deputy Director. His other portfolios are Head of Trade and Facilitation Division at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta and also the Regional ASEAN Customs Transit Project Manager at the Secretariat. Since 2017, he has been a Trade advisor for a number of Malaysian Trade organizations and SMEs. He is also a trainer and coach on all export-related subjects.

 

Industry and Subject Matters Experts: They will be some guest trainers on very technical subjects such as trade finance, labelling and packaging, standards and certification, cross-border eCommerce, etc.

Our fee for the 5 days (40 Hours) program is RM 3,200.00 per participant. This fee also includes

For trainees from HRDC-registered employers, the fees will be collected directly from HRDC. For those who are self-paying, we could allow you to pay in 3 installments.
